We were lucky enough to have an all-expenses paid vacation to Cuba in April thanks to mom and dad! During our stay we had a chance to leave the resort and go into the town of Veradero and the city of Havana. It was eye-opening to see the old cars, the people and the old crumbling buildings in which they work and live. Cuba has a very interesting history and is definitely a place you should experience before the embargo lifts.
It's a new season and Brent is out looking for wildlife! Check out his new BLOG to see his latest work!
For the second year in a row, two of Brent's photographs (shown below) are featured in the World Wildlife Federation Calendar. The Mountain Caribou is featured in November and the Whistler Black Bear is featured in December.
Stay tuned for our upcoming adventures in 2010!
Tania has been working on a website for Abbotsford - Mission Recycling and Yard Waste Program. The website contains:
-
Flash slideshow banners.
-
Hotlinks for user-friendly access to information.
-
WordPress content management system.
-
Photo galleries.
-
Google maps.
The design of the website was created using Adobe Photoshop and it was put together using CSS and XHTML. The site is also powered by WordPress, a content management tool for clients wishing to update content and photo galleries themselves. Tania has teamed up with an experienced programmer so she is able to offer her clients e-commerce and content management solutions.
The website is expected to be launched sometime in February or early March.
The two photographs to the right were selected as WINNERS out of 300 entries in the 2009 World Wildlife Federation Calendar!
The Peeking Bear won GRAND PRIZE for the Canadian category of the contest. Both photographs were featured in the 2009 WWF Calendar. Peeking Bear was featured in January and the Richardson Ground Squirrels were featured in August.
